Since there has been a few teams drop out of div 3a and 3b will there be a couple div 4 teams promoted to fill the empty spaces?

No, the divisions are set and there will not be any more backfilling. We attempted to fill well done the line of perspective Div 4 teams - plenty said no. At this late stage, we are just going to go with the 2 tiers of 8 teams.

Seemes unfair. Not getting our money's worth with only 8 teams when the 4s have some to spare

I agree, it is unfair. Unfortunately we cannot control who drops out at the last minute. Teams also receive a financial credit to their account in case they do not get a full season in. As far as Div 4 goes......I went as far as the 11th place team (from last year) to see if they wanted to move up to Div 3.......they all said no. I don't think going any further down does anybody any good. So the feeling was that they did not have any to spare........as those teams would be out of their League. (in this case division)
Has been a weird start to the year.....last year was similar in ways, but Mid Isle and Cowichan bumped up to Div 3 as new teams, this year that is not even an option.

Actually, you will be getting your moneys worth in games. What we typically do in these types of scenarios for instance: you play eachother twice and that gives you 14 games. the Division will then spilt from top 4 to bottom 4. At that time you will then play the other 3 teams in that separated portion and you get pretty close to your full allotment of games.

There is a very remote possibility that up to two teams in Div 3A could visit Powell River three times this season if you factor in cup play. Well at least Div 1 can say they got their moneys worth. Spending $1,500.00 minimum for each trip and informing teams that they got their money's worth is a touch ironic and cruel. That said PR is in the league and they make the same trip 8-10 times a year.

Yah, lets not twist my words. I was strictly talking about number of games played.
Sooke, Hellas, other teams have had the experience of staying overnight because of the ferries. #1stworldproblems There was a year that the Victoria Athletics had their trip cancelled / postponed to Powell River 3 separate times because of s**tty weather all of a sudden or ferries.......very rare, but it happens. Hope you are not jinxed now 90+..........
