Another season is around the corner. Where does everyone think the teams will stand at the end of the season?
1. Alberni Athletics 2. Everyone else

What, did Alberni pick up a bunch of superstars or something? Because if it's the same team as last year, I didn't see anything so special as to elicit such a c**ky statement seeing as how they finished middle of the pack... A cup run doesn't mean you're gonna kick everyone's ass. Seen tons of mediocre teams step up for the cup and make it to the end. The season is a different story. Keep up the comments though, makes for some good banter in the forums!
So, my opinion on the top three teams:
Saanich Fusion (Harris Dodge) Hellas FC Westcastle Sagres
That is all.

That's the reaction I was looking for. I will admit that if you look at our record from last year it would be easy to write us off as a mediocre team. We've added some depth this year with a few fresh young faces, no new superstars required. If we show up on game day with our first team 11 (easier said than done, especially away games) we'll give any team in this division more than a fight. Our cup run last year was no fluke. We had full commitment from every player every week which not only won us the challenge cup, but propelled us on a provincial cup run as well where we lost in the finals in an unsettling manner (Our rock of a central defender was shown his second yellow just after half time in a 0-0 game).
Enough about us. There are some teams in this division that I am familiar with and a few I have no idea. I remember a Westcastle team in div 4 a few years back that had just started up and ran through everyone on their way to promotion. I thought they changed their name after that or merged with a different team? Does that make Westcastle Sagres a combination of some of those players with the Sagres 2 team I know from last year? Harris Dodge and Hellas look like strong teams from last year.
In the end, I hope it's a competitive and good spirited season from all teams on the field. Anything goes in the forums though.

I think Hellas will be the team to beat this year. I've heard some rumours that they added some solid players to their already strong roster. SFFC Harris Dodge and Alberni will round out the top 3. Im pretty sure Westcastle Sagres are still trying to find guys and don't have many if any guys from the Sagres team last year...they will struggle if that's true.

Ok so looking goals per game for the teams, and last season, Harris , Alberni and Hellas as they were a physical team and I don't know the other new ones. If it's the Hellas team from the cup run though not sure if they have it some of those guys looked pretty old so another season in could be a downward spiral. Lakers have some skill so could be up there and were a decent team and know nothing about Sanich Braves (any tips?) Div 3 is about consistency you lose a couple and tie a couple your promo hopes are over.... A couple new faces for Alberni and a decent test on Saturday so we will see where they are at. Luckily we still have the core from last season and the glorious two cup runs so we should (fingers crossed) get a full team out each week with a rumour of having subs as well! Except this week with a wedding and everyone in Port being related half the team are away!
