Anyone got any ideas on how to get black turf field skid marks off white jerseys without ruining the jerseys? See attached image. These are brand new "sublimated" adidas jerseys, laundry label says "100% polyester, machine wash cold with like colours, do not use softeners, remove immediately, use only non-chlorine bleach" etc. Internet says various things including a product called LesToil, WD-40, goo-gone, rubbing alcohol, lighter fluid, but I don't want to try any of these in case they F up the jersey as its only been worn a few times and is supposed to last three seasons at least. Anyone tried anything and been successful? Adidas doesn't respond to emails, apparently. I have tried four different email addresses to get them to respond, and nothing heard back, not even an auto-reply. If I can't get this resolved I am going to recommend against anyone who plays on turf fields getting this type of jersey material in a light colour. Unless you decide not to ever slidecheck or get pushed over at speed (which is 90% of my game the other 10% is kicking the ball over fences so I can get a rest.)

Thought I would throw it out there - just one of the reasons we like using Umbro. We ask questions, and get answers damn quick - to me that is service. I posed a question to a certain individual yesterday after I saw this post - I got an answer today. I cannot go on record and say who it was (but their name might rhyme with Smumbro) because the info I am about to give is strictly a suggestion and cannot be confirmed without actually seeing the product......but they were pretty damn quick about getting back to us.

"Hi Vince,
I ran this by our product people in __________ and it's a little difficult to make a certain judgement based on a small photo and not seeing the actual product but from a glance it looks as if the striping is actually a bleed of the sublimated stripes in the jersey (or other dark material that ran in the dryer at high heat) rather than from the rubber. We may be wrong on that if the player is certain it came from the field but to be honest, I have never seen a streak on any product that was caused by the rubber pellets.
I have also heard that WD40 works to remove this type of thing but wouldn't want to endanger the actual striping in the jersey.
Sorry I can't give anything more concrete but too hard to tell without seeing the actual shirt"

So - take that for what it is worth. He has been around for a while, so he is at least telling the truth.....and gave a response.
Another reason we say to support our sponsors.......another reason I have purchased nothing but Umbro jerseys for the past 5 years.........pretty sure they are very available at Soccerworld & Teamsales. Oh yah, and both guys are very involved in local soccer - so, I would suggest going to see John at Soccerworld or Moreno at Teamsales for all your uniform needs.

Thanks Vince - will try these. I am pretty near 100% sure they're marks from the turf fields. It was a dry evening, no dewfall yet, and a very new turf field. Adidas did respond after a second email I sent saying "haven't heard back yet", their suggestion was Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and they also said I could wash on hot. Will try all of these and report back
