We have a few new guys this year and their coaches/managers from last season are either not returning calls in order for the player to pick up their player ID or just refusing to give the player their player ID. Presumably because they are p**sed these players have not returned to to the team they played for last year. What do we do about this?

Easy enough to do. Just drop off all players cards from last year to league office. Sometimes it isn't the coach or manager, but the player decided to move on without letting the teams management know. Doesn't matter at this point who is in the wrong, just get the cards to the league office in Esquimalt. Any new team's coach, etc. can just pick them up there.

No im saying the players aren't able to get their own player card because their old coaches are refusing to give it to them.

So if the League has to step in and put sanctions on individuals or teams - we will. ' It is unfortunate that we have to step in on some things, but sometimes it has to be done to keep the playground in check. Coaches, give up the player ID cards. If players owe teams something, it will be repaid before they can play. If you cannot get an ID card from a coach that is withholding it - send me an email with the details. If it has merit or a case, the discipline committee will take care of it. If a coach is withholding a League ID card, they will most likely be paying more than just the cost of replacing the card. Replacement cards for players from last year cost $10.00 from the soccer office. They are needed to participate in your first game. New players this year have a 1 game grace period to get a card printed out.
Hopefully it can be sorted out amoungst the teams and players.
