Let's see a little chatter here people!
Prospect Lake SC (H) vs. Zgoda Juniors FC (A) • Fri Oct 23 - 8:00pm - Layritz Turf
As much as I love Arlie I don't see us dropping this one. Prospect Lake's woes continue as we shut them out.
FINAL: Us some - Them none.
SPL Bigwheels FC (H) vs. Castaways Invicta (A) • Sat Oct 24 - 2:15pm - Glasgow Field (I would think this might be a scheduling error and this game will be played same time, same location on Sunday)
With both teams coming off big loses this should be a pretty hard fought game. However I would think that Invicta has the quality to dispose of SPL.
FINAL: Invicta 3 - SPL 1
SFFC Shady Lane (H) vs. SFFC Spartans (A) • Sun Oct 25 - 2:00pm - Lochside Turf
After seeing what the Spartans bring with a full bench, and what Shady Lane brings with an empty one, I would be shocked if the Spartans get anything from this game, even if Shady Lane only has 10 men.
FINAL: Shady Lane 4 - Spartans 0
Vic West FC (H) vs. Penelakut United (A) • Sun Oct 25 - 2:15pm - Finlayson Turf
After dropping their first two games by big scores Vic West has won two on the bounce by equally big scores. However, Penelakut isn't Prospect Lake or Castaways and they'll provide some stiff opposition. While I think Vic West will put up a good challenge I just can't see Penelakut dropping their first points of the season this weekend.
FINAL: Vic West 2 - Penelakut 4

PL vs. Zgoda
Zgoda win easily...PL is not good at all.....Zgoda win AT LEAST 6-0
SPL vs. Invicta
Tough game to call..haven't seen SPL play but still puzzled at how Castaways was able to beat ZGoda.......I think this game is going to be tight...We haven't had many draws this season in our division so we are due for one...this is the game that gives it to us.......
Shady Lane vs. Spartans
Purely based on the results, Shady Lane wins this game.....3-0
VW vs. Penelakut
Game of the week! A chance for VW to prove that they are better than their 2-2 record shows...having scored 11 goals in the last two games, VW look to keep the momentum rolling...This will be the MATCH OF THE WEEK

Well Crossbar was correct, we did indeed beat Prospect Lake 6-0 in a decidedly lopsided affair. Not much going forward for PLSC, a few shots, but only one on target rung off the cross bar around the 80th minute. Their fill-in keeper made some GREAT saves though, good on him! All-in-all a decent game punctuated by the fog and Lee shouting at his team from the sidelines.

VW vs. Penelakut
Two teams went to work on Sunday and one team left with 3 points...That team was Penelakut....After finding out 3 minutes before 2, that the game time had changed to 15 minutes earlier than expected, VW took the field without a warm-up, and without their starting lineup. As a result of the confusion, and break in mental focus, Penelakut was able to score 3 quick goals and take a 3-0 lead 15 minutes into the game...With the starting lineup finally on the field, VW was able to pot 3 goals of their own and tie the game 3-3 going into halftime. In the second half, the game became a chess match with neither team wanting to give an inch. A mistake by the VW in their own end, gifted Penelakut the winning goal at about the 60' mark. VW pushed for the tieing goal but were unsuccessful in their attempt. Final 4-3 Penelakut

Sounds like a heck of a game, crossbar! Well done to VW to battle back from three goals down (even if not to get a result, ultimately)
